Will it keep cats off a seedbed?
In most cases yes. A visible physical barrier over a freshly raked bed removes the appeal, and cats generally take the easier route elsewhere.

Can I cut a panel down?
You can with bolt cutters, but you will expose bare wire at the cut, which then needs painting to stop it rusting. Adjusting the layout is usually easier.
Does it work on a slope?
Yes, stepping the panels down the slope. Keep each panel vertical rather than following the angle of the ground.
Will it hold back mulch or soil?
No. It is an open wire fence, not a retaining border. Use edging for that job and the fence above it.
Do the panels come apart easily once installed?
They stay connected in normal use. They also come apart deliberately when you want to lift and re shape the run, which is the point of a modular fence.

For a dog that has learned the bed is off limits and just needs reminding, that is enough. For a large determined dog with a reason to get through, it is not, and no low decorative panel would be.

Working out how many packs
Each pack is ten panels giving 3.3 m in total.
Measure the run you want to protect. Most people only need to fence the side a pet actually approaches from, not the entire bed, which halves the cost.
Corners use panels at an angle, so allow a little extra for a shape with turns in it.
Putting it in
Connect the panels to each other first, along the ground, so you can see the shape.
Then push them in, working along the run and keeping the top line level. In hard or stony ground, water it the evening before rather than forcing the panels, which bends the legs.
Where the run turns a corner, set the angle between two panels rather than trying to bend a single one.
